Johnstone, James Armour, 1859-1933

Businessman and stock breeder of Otago. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, son of David Johnstone and Jessie Baird Johnstone (née Thompson). Emigrated to New Zealand with his family in 1868. Partner and later managing director of Wright Stephenson and Company. Owner of Bushey Park estate, near Palmerston, and breeder of Corriedate sheep. Died Dunedin. See: Angus, Janet C.
