Passenger steam ship operated by Union Steam Ship Company from 1882 until 1903 when sold to foreigners. In 1921 broken up.

Seddon album 2

Description: Album of photographs and newspaper cuttings relating to the Seddon family. Inserted at the front is an envelope full of newspaper cuttings, several relating to the marriage of Phoebe Seddon to Frank Dyer in January 1897, (with a photograph possibly of Phoebe); others relate to official activities undertaken by Richard John Seddon. In that envelope there are two other items of interest. One is an official Christmas card "With the Premier's compliments, wishing Miss Louie J S Seddon a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Wellington, New Zealand, December 1894" signed R J Seddon; and the other is an "Invitation to a presentation and social to the Hon. R J Seddon, Premier of New Zealand on his 51st birthday, June 22nd 1896" Many of the people shown in the photographs in the album are unidentified. There are several which appear to show members of Seddon's family, and which show his first home in Kumara, West Coast. Others relate to Seddon's supporters at Jacksons.
