Description: Shows a broad view of the harbour at St Thomas Island, Virgin Islands, West Indies. There is an island in the centre of the harbour and several outlying islands in the open sea in the distance. Many ships lie half-submerged as a result of the hurricane. The buildings of the town are in the foreground. There was a major earthquake (7.5) at St Thomas, 18 November, 1867, with tsunami.
