Twin screw steamer. Built in Scotland in 1864. Snagged and partially sunk in the Hollyford River, Martin's Bay, South Westland, February 1870. Raised and patched, she steamed to Nelson, arriving 28 April, where the repairs were completed. See newspaper The Colonist, 29 April 1870, p. 2. Went ashore on the breakwater at Castlecliff, Wanganui, 15 Dec 1908. In 1909 all attempts to refloat her were abandoned. (Information from "New Zealand Shipwrecks 1795-1982", 1984, page 306)
