Description: Sheet 'a' is a surveying map of land for proposed roads and sections between the Cemetery Reserve, Bowen and Museum streets and Sydney Street West. Mowbray Street and the Terrace are marked. Extensive legislation notes refer to the Public Works Act and the Land Act in regard to various land and roading areas shown colour coded on the original. Reference is also made to the Cemeteries Act and the Wellington City Empowering Act. Subdivisions include C.T. numbers, acreages and boundary measurements. Ownership of land is marked as Crown Land, H.M. The King, The Mayor of Wellington, Parliamentary Buildings purposes. Enlargements marked on the map as A to G include greater surveying datails. Sheet 'b' is an enlargement of the bottom half of the map. Handwritten notes at bottom left give lists of Deeds Plans, Survey Office plans and Cal.
