Note on left of map states: Arthur's Pass township area edged red is the area vested in the Board, over which they have leasing powers by special Act. Area edged yellow is railway Land and the part of this land with a hatched edging, is the approximate area which the railway authorities have agreed to hand over to the Board. Area shown cross hatched is area which the Hon. the Minister of Lands has agreed to hand over to the Board. Action in this direction is under way.
