Plasterer. Born in Cornwall, England; arrived by the Aurora on 22 Jan 1840 at Petone with first wife and 5 children. Died on 22 Dec 1885 at his residence at Willis Street, Wellington; prior to this he had lived at Petone and Johnsonville. Husband of Mary (1808?-1890); father of F G Petherick, E W Petherick, James Petherick junior and others. Buried in family plot at Sydney Street cemetery, Wellington.
