Son of Lt-Col John Massy Stacpoole. He married Julia Honora Dryden, daughter of William Dryden (b 1789?), lawyer of Hull, England, in 1855. Wrote letter to Sir John Hall in 1875; involved in Dryden estate negotiations in 1878.
