The Griffin work is seen as a political interpretation of our past, and features David Lange, Harry Holland, Helen Clark, Bob Jones, Geoffrey Palmer, Roger Douglas, Rod Deane. The "cultural chaos of monetarism" is discussed, as is Hayek's "Road to serfdom". Taupiri Mountain is represented symbolically.
