Description: Hydrographic map with soundings, of Port Nicholson, Wellington Harbour (Whanganui a Tara), showing the shoreline shape, suitable anchorages, fathom depths, outlying rocks; pa sites at Palmer Head, kainga in Worser Bay; a fresh water lake and pond in present day Miramar, fresh water supply in Evan's Bay, Petone and Ngauranga; Somes Island and a large flax marsh at Petone. Indicates latitude and longitude. Also in f910.4 Dumont D'Urville, Voyage dans le Pole Sud et Oceanie (1847) Plate 38 - from catalogue card.
