Son of Larry and Nell Russell, Nelson; with the Sound Archives in 2001. Founding member of the group 'Dead C' and the recording labels Xpressway (active 1985-early 1990s) and Corpus Hermeticum. Writes essays and criticism for various publicaitons and has publsihed books on sound. Graduated with doctorate in sound from RMIT School of Arts (2007-2015). Circa 2016 he manages the School of Art and Design at Ara Institute of Canterbury.
