In August 2007, Burger King appealed this decision, based on the fact that this was one of a series of advertisements featuring bikini-clad women (about which there had also been complaints, but those had not been upheld). The company maintained that the intention of the advertisement was to be light-hearted and not at all offensive, especially to women. The final decision was to partly dismiss and partly allow the appeal Other Titles - Burger King to appeal against bikini ad ban Inscriptions: Recto - bottom right - Jim Hubbard [in ink] Quantity: 1 original cartoon(s).
