Christchurch-based polar and mountain photographer and writer born in Glasgow. Emigrated to Australia with family at age nine and lived in Sydney. Moved to New Zealand in 1972. Life member of the New Zealand Alpine Club and the New Zealand Antarctic Society. Honorary member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers.
