Schwartz, Guido George, 1853-1926

born in Germany in 1853, trained in architecture there and came to New Zealand ca 1879. He lived in Lower Hutt and Wellington and was the architect of many houses and hotels in the Wellington region, including the Empire Hotel, Palace (or Carlton) Hotel and Opepe Hotel.
