British citizen who enlisted with the NZEF (Serial No. 15/202) at the outbreak of World War I. He served with NZEF from 1914-1918. He attained the rank of Major while with the NZ Forces and was involved in the campaigns at Samoa, Egypt, Gallipoli and France. He rejoined the British Army on 17 Oct 1918.
