Headless Chickens (Musical group)

New Zealand band formed in Auckland in 1985, and active during the 1990s until 1998. Members included Chris Matthews (vocals, guitar), Michael Lawry (keyboards, effects), Grant Fell (bass, guitar), Bevan Sweeney (drums), Johnny Pierce (bass) and Fiona McDonald (vocals). In 1994 the band's single 'George" became the first No.1 hit for the band and for their label Flying Nun.
