Name transcribed from the minutes of a meeting held at Takapuwahia January 3, 1862 to hear a land dispute between Ngati Toa and Nicholas Searancke. Te Kakakura Wi Parata was the spokesperson for Ngati Toa. Peta-a-Wahu is stated as being one of the Ngati Toa chiefs present at this hearing.
