Description: Interview with Eric Tindill, born Nelson 1910. Reflects on his career as a test cricketer, test rugby player, test umpire and test referee. Mentions playing junior rugby at the Boys Institute in Wellington, and taking a year off to try soccer. Mentions going to Athletic Park as a youngster, and his early cricketing days. Discusses playing representative rugby for Wellington 1934-1945 and cricket for Wellington 1933-1950. Talks about the All Black tour of Great Britain in 1935/1936, coach Vince Meredith, and playing in the test match at Twickenham. Mentions touring England with the New Zealand cricket team in 1937.
