Discusses playing representative rugby for Wellington 1934-1945 and cricket for Wellington 1933-1950. Talks about the All Black tour of Great Britain in 1935/1936, coach Vince Meredith, and playing in the test match at Twickenham. Mentions touring England with the New Zealand cricket team in 1937. Refers to losing six years of his playing careers during World War II, and playing club rugby after the war. Mentions his refereeing rugby test debut for the Lions series in 1959.
