Former Prime Minister of Southern Rhodesia. Born in Invercargill. Studied theology in Dunedin. From 1928-1933 he served as minister of the Church of Christ, Oamaru. Married Jean Grace Wilson (1912-2001). In 1934 he was appointed superintendent of the Churches of Christ Mission at Dadaya, Southern Rhodesia and held this post until he became Prime Minister in 1953. After his defeat in 1958 elections he became managing director of Hokonui Ranching Company Ltd, Dadaya. Todd died 13 Oct 2002. (An Encyclopaedia of NZ Vol 1 p 582).
