Nathan, David Laurence, 1882-1944

Educated at Harrow, England from the age of nine. Returned to New Zealand aged 19. Left in charge of L D Nathan and Co Ltd when his father, Laurence D Nathan (d 1905) was ill with cancer. Became a partner in the company with his uncle Nathan Alfred Nathan. Married to Simone (née Oulman; 1886-1974). Father of Lawrence David Jose Nathan (1910-).
