Description: Shows Jim Anderton driving a car at high speed around a racing track labelled 'Bob Hawke raceway (Australian rules)'. On its way to 'Beehive Corner' it drives over the prone figures of Brian MacDonell and John Kirk, breaking into bits to go faster. Anderton's passenger, David Lange, is thrown from the car as it hits the 'judder bars' of MacDonell and Kirk. Refers to Labour's determination to win the next election. Bob Hawke's Labor Party had won the 1983 Australian election. Kirk and MacDonell had resigned from the Labour Party when they were replaced as their Party's candidates for the 1984 General Election.
