Description: A view of 19 Ottawa Road, formerly named Chew Cottage and before that, Millwood. The view is taken from the front facade facing south, showing its picket fence, covered entranceway, steep pitched roof and the hills behind it. Two tall cabbage trees stand at the side of the house Both the years 1958 and 1959 are recorded on the drawing. Reproduced in 'Historic Wellington' (A.H. & A.W. Reed [1959]), by John Alexander. The two cabbage trees were planted after Esmond Gibson returned from the First World War. They are no longer standing.
