Description: Panoramic view showing the Port Chalmers Harbour on the right with hills behind. There is a line of warehouses on the left including the Wool Hemp Grain Store, Shaw Savill & Albion Company Ltd., and the Government Grading Store. Railway tracks run from the centre of the image around a curve in the bay towards a pier and wharf and beyond to the hills. A road above the railway line runs in front of the warehouses and leads up between houses on the right. Water tank with windmill in the centre of the image. Two cars (one on the far left has number plate: NZ90-327), the second one with the hood down is parked in front of the Wool Hemp Grain Store. A man wearing a hat and suit and smoking a pipe is posing with one foot on the dashboard of the second car. A group of five workmen are on his left, and five more on his right. A group of three women (one pushing a large pram), and a couple, are also walking along in front of the warehouses. A building near the pier on the right is labelled "A.B.C".
