Former British Army officer who commanded the Rangitikei, Patea and Wanganui Military Districts in the 1860s and 1870s. He was Resident Magistrate for Rangitikei, Coroner for Patea and Inspector fo the Colonial Defence Forces. Wrote to Donald McLean from Patea and Wanganui, 1869-1872.
