Description: Photograph album relating to Agnes Mary Buckley's service as nurse during World War II, 1941-1942. Photographer is unidentified, but some images are likely taken by Agnes. Album contains images of the Japanese Gardens in Helwan, Egypt [stock tourist images?]. Egyptian street scenes show local people, donkeys, a knife sharpener, and various carts. Agricultural images show sheep, water buffalo, and ploughing. The Great Sphinx of Giza and pyramids are also featured (one view is from the top of a pyramid). Military personal are depicted during recreation breaks, receiving bravery awards (Ron J Moore and T M Hutchinson), and convalescing in hospital. Agnes Buckley appears in a number of images. One image shows a nurse wearing a gas mask and another a group holding up captured Nazi swastika flags.
