Description: Copy of an album containing photographs of men with facial reconstructions performed by Henry Percy Pickerill and Captain Rhind at the Queen's Hospital (later known as Queen Mary's Hospital), Sidcup, Kent, England. Medical notes written by Rhind accompany the images. Also includes 3 other images relating to the "New Zealand Theatre" (see below). The men in the album are named: Nash, O'Brien, Lloyd, Thompson, Ogden, Bailey, Bentick, Boyd, Bostock, Wheeler, Cole, McGea, Cox, Potts, Le Poindevin, Woods, Topp, Kilworth, Oakes, Sprout, Hinton, Wilson, Wisely, Haynes, England, Turner, Hunt, Eggington, Green. Includes 3 other images: "The NZ Theatre in action" showing an operating theatre in use "The NZ Theatre" showing the exterior of a building "The New Zealand Section". A group portrait including Captain Turner, Captain Rhind, Sister McBeth, Major Pickerill, Sister Finlayson, Captain Marshall and Captain Seed. Included with the album is a booklet entitled "Queen Mary's Sidcup, 1974-94. A commemoration" by Andrew Banji, Director of medical Education. There are chapters on the origins of Queen's Hospital, with information on the development of the dedicated maxillo-facial unit and the importance of Harold Gillies in its establishment and work.
