Hotel in Thorndon / Kaiwharawhara, located where Thorndon Quay meets Tinakori Road. Opened 1891 with Benjamin Cohen as proprieter. Transferred to George W Prictor in 1892, and then to his wife Ellen Prictor in 1898 after the death of George in 1897. Lost its liquor licence in 1909 under the Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Bill and resumed trading in 1911 due to changes in electoral boundaries.
