Gifford Observatory (Wellington, N.Z.)

Algernon Charles Gifford established the observatory named in his honour at Wellington College in 1911. Gifford taught at the college, 1895-1927. Wellington College are fund raising in 1999 to restore Gifford's 5 x 1/4 Zeiss refractor telescope and house it in a new dome.
