Description: Carnival booklet has photographs of officials including Barton Ginger, John Bishop, W H Honey, Elizabeth Blake, Joe Knowsley, and details of the Queen Committees for the Queens all of whose photos are included: Queen of Sheba (Alison Kirkcaldie), Cleopatra (Tiora Meadows), Joan of Arc (Nancy Dudley), Iphigenia (Kathleen O'Brien), Atalanta (Sybil Swinburne), Queen Eleanor (Irene Boyd). There are details of the transportation pageant and an account of the history of transport. Booklet includes the programme for the grand concert recital at the Town Hall, 25 November, the Olde London Town Faire at the John Street Exhibition Building 26 November, gymnastics displays in the new Winter Show building, the League of Nations pageant, the sports meeting at the Basin Reserve on 28 November, "Dream of fair women" at the Wellington Town Hall, 29 November - 6 December, cricket at the Basin Reserve - Old Boys v University 1 December, an organ recital by Bernard Page 2 December, swimming carnival at the Te Aro Baths 8th December 1928, and a grand coronation ceremony at Wellington Town Hall 8 December.
