Melvin, Malcolm, active 1905-1909

Cartoonist, who was living in Invercargill in 1905, when this report appeared in the 'Southland times', 19 September 1905: "The caricatures of local celebrities drawn by Mr Malcolm Melvin, a young Invercargillite, have attracted a good deal of amused attention, and it is interesting to note that in the production of the advertising poster for 'HMS Pinafore' his services have been requisitioned. The drawings are nicely and cleanly executed, and indicate that Mr Melvin possesses a faculty for such work which, with cultivation, would develop into something much above the ordinary".
