Began career as teacher, changing to broadcasting. Attended an announcers' training course in 1969, beginning her work as a broadcaster with 3ZB, Christchurch. Later appointed Public Affairs Director with BCNZ; General Manager, National Radio. Awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship, and studied at Harvard. Daughter of Cecil Harris Crosbie, and Mrs Golding (b 1923)
