Lintz, William, active 1920s

Owner and director of The Reveille (also known as William Lints Reveille Company), a travelling variety show which toured the country in the 1920s. Name given as William Lints in all the programmes of the time; given as William Lintz in Judith Fyfe's book `Matriarchs' in the article on Beeban Annadale McKnight (née MacDonald) who performed with the Reveille Company for five years, until her marriage in 1923.

Beeban Annadale MacDonald performed with the company for five years before her marriage in 1923. Many of the photographs are of her at various sites on the tours around New Zealand. Others include one of Gladys Moncrieff and one of Mae Baird, both selling Reveille programmes in Christchurch. William Lints himself appears in a number of the photographs.
