Taylor, Rob, 1945-1997

Artist teacher, art critic. Born in Scotland, arrived Dunedin in 1955. Studied at Dunedin Art School in 1963, and West Sussex College of Fine Arts, England in 1964-1966. Secondary teacher from 1973; Head of Art, St Patrick's Collge, Wellington; branch PPTA chairman from 1983; founding committee member 1988 and sometime convenor, NZ Art History Teachers' Assn. Since 1967, over 50 solo or duo exhibitions as a painter. Art critic for The Dominion 1981-1991. (NZ Who's Who Aotearoa 2001, p 1027)
