Description: Christchurch, in May 1860. Looks south, with the Avon River in the middle ground and a bridge over it at Worcester Street on the right. The old land office is left of the bridge. On the left is a short stretch of what is known as either Durham Street or Oxford Terrace. Inwood's flour-mill is beyond the land office and St Michael's further in the background, to the right of the mill building. Taken by Alfred Charles Barker.
