Description: Published by McLeod & Slade, Printers, New Plymouth, 1936, as a souvenir of the Maui Pomare Meeting at Manukorihi Pa, Waitara, 27 June, 1936. Also a clipping of an obituary written by James Cowan, about 'Tahu Potiki', Rev Robert Haddon, and a letter to Cowan from Oriwa Haddon, dated 8 Feb 1937. The letter contains an extensive mihi, and acknowledges Cowan's poroporoaki, or farewell to his father. The front of cover of the book has Eileen Cowan's name written on it, in James Cowan's handwriting. Language - Beginning of letter (mihi) is in Maori. Also Maori content in the published book.
