Description: Album containing 26 black-and-white photographs and one reproduced ink drawing of international orchestral conductors, collected and collated 1960-1964 by Jennifer Chong. Photographers and artist unknown. The inside front cover of the album has a glued-in label that says "This is My Treasured Collection of Photographs Featuring Great Orchestral Conductors 1961". The first photographs are dated 1960 and the last are dated 1964. The images are autographed and many are personally addressed to Miss Jennifer Chong. Most photographs have a typed label underneath with the name and career highlights of the conductor, except the last five photographs, which simply have a handwritten name and date. There is a loose A4 sheet listing the conductors inserted between the front cover and the first page (possibly added later). Part of the Archive of New Zealand Music. Title supplied by Library. The album was compiled by the donor, who wrote requesting signed photographs in the early 1960s. Quantity: 1 album(s) 26 photographs and 1 reproduced ink drawing.. Physical Description: One green cloth-covered photograph album, 26.5 x 38 cm, ringbinder style, with 18 black paper pages. Provenance: Donated by Jennifer Chong Caldwell in 2015 and deposited by her executor in February 2016. Processing information: Unit id changed after item was boxed in August 2018.
