Merchant of McDowell's Corner, Willis Street, Wellington. Emigrated from Bungey, Suffolk. Son of Mary Anna Warmoll (d 1875). Left Wellington in 1872 for gold fields at Grahamstown. Married Mrs Eliza Tye (relict of Daniel Tye) on 3 June 1877 at St Matthew's Church, Auckland (Thames advertiser, 6 Aug 1877, p 2). Resident of Lake Takapuna, North Shore in 1884 when his step-daughter Kate Tye married Leonard Lee. Died in Oct 1913 aged 82 years (Manawatu standard, 29 Oct 1913, p 4).
