Resident of Wellington, Trustee of Wellington Mutual Investment Society. Son of Philip Moses Moss and Rosa Moss, of London. Husband of Julia Moss (née Folk). Elected to a seat in the first Wellington City Council, in 1870. Resigned as member of the Council, in Oct 1880. Superintendent of the first fire brigade in Wellington. Died on 14 May 1903, in Sydney, in his 77th year (Colonist, 18 May 1903, p 4; Hebrew standard of Australasia, 22 May 1903, p 7).
