Discusses driving her car and the convenience of the local transport. Describes how care and craft meetings are run, her role as a volunteer and describes the people who attend. Explains about her retirement at 55 and subsequent jobs taken until she was 60. Talks of her schooling, attitudes towards older women and the responsibilities of women living alone.
