Born in County Cork, Ireland. Surveyor. Arrived in New Zealand in 1849 and settled in Wellington. Surveyed part of the Wairarapa and Hutt small farm settlement. Drainage commissioner in 1856. Represented Wellington Country in the Provincial Council 1856-1858. Afterwards settled at Makara.
