Blyth, James, 1790-1862

Born at Cupar, Fifeshire, living in Glasgow as a boy. Arrived in Wellington in 1842, having spent some years in South America. General store keeper in Wellington. Listed as ironmonger in Dixon St in Wellington almanac for 1852-53. Later, about 1859, settled in Mary Bank, Wanganui. Elected to Wellington Provincial Council for Wanganui and Rangitikei.
