Hamerton, Robert Chisenhall, -1913

Solicitor, of Wellington; firm is Hamerton & Andrew. Arrived in New Zealand with family in 1854 aboard the 'Cashmere'. Promoted to Captain in the New Zealand Militia in 1864. Member of St Mark's Church (Wellington), in the first vestry from May 1876. Organist and choirmaster 1879 to July 1881. Died in 1913 aged 74 years.
