Overton, Henry, 1847-1931

Of 'Meadowbank', Ellesmere, in 1875. Wrote to Sir John Hall from Waipuna in 1888 and to William Rolleston from Kirwee, Canterbury, in 1893 re Lincoln College and women's franchise. Son of Thomas Overton, of Lincolnshire. Arrived in New Zealand in 1854. See obituary - Press, 8 Sep 1931, p 13.
