Unilever New Zealand Ltd

New Zealand branch of the Sydney-based soap manufacturer Unilever, formerly called Lever Brothers Sunlight Soap.

Sunlight began in Sydney in 1885 and then commenced production in New Zealand in 1919, with a head office at Jackson Street, Petone. The business merged with Margerine Unie in 1929 and became known as Unilever.

Also manufactured a line of dehydrated peas called 'Surprise Peas' in the 1960s and 1970s in New Zealand.
