Baillie, Gordon, 1827-1875

Photographer, and arrived by the 'Ann Wilson' in 1855. He was living in Cuba St, Wellington, New Zealand, at the time of his death. He was 48 when he died on 28 September 1875. Buried at Bolton Street Cemetery with his son Gordon (d 1883). He was a known also as a bookseller; that he was married to Mary Ann Walton Seed at Tauherenikau in 1859; and that he had a son Herbert (who later became Wellington City Librarian).
