Captain Beamish. Publican on the Chatham Islands in the late 19th century. Built the hotel in Waitangi known as Mangoutu House with his brother George in the 1860s. Later built a second hotel (ca 1870) at Te One called The Travellors Rest. Married Catherine Julia Fougere in 1868.
