Description: Continuing an earlier comic strip format, where the spaceship Long White Cloud is in orbit, skippered by Captain Kiwi Keith (Prime Minister Keith Holyoake), the imminent election makes the government nervous. Co-pilot John Marshall (Deputy Prime Minister) describes the outlook as a bit murky, as control of the target vehicle (the economy) is unpredictable and hazardous. There are also plots to take over the controls (Labour's Norman Kirk and Social Credit's Vernon Cracknell).
