Description: Programme shows the British and New Zealand flags on the cover, and inside the programme which began at 10 am with a procession of school children representing Britain and her allies. After speeches there was a social luncheon including the roasting of an ox by Maoris. Later there were children's sports, maypole, poi dances, Maori haka, and in the evening a fireworks display, a bonfire, and a dance in the town hall.
