Description: Photograph album described as a World War I album of the Royal Flying Corps and Australian Flying Corps in Mesopotamia and India compiled by an unidentified New Zealand officer (a pilot?). Photographer(s), and compiler of album, unidentified. Images show biplanes including a crashed Bristol F.2b fighter (page 2 upper and 3 upper, and page 7 lower and on right), a RAF BE2e (page 3 lower), a rare Airco DH.10 (on page 7 upper), and an Avro 504K (page 7 lower and on left) ; scenes in India - in areas later known as Pakistan - Kabul River, Kohat Pass, a building labelled 'Wing HQ in D.I.K' (Dera Ismail Khan); also a scene in Port Said, Egypt; members of the military; local people including a group of'char wallahs'; camels and monkeys. Possibly associated with Royal Air Force No 97 Squadron which used Airco DH.10 aircraft in India while providing support to the army on the North-West Frontier between 1918-1920.
