Description: Collection comprises letters written daily, and often twice a day, by Veitch and sent to his wife and family in Wanganui. They cover the period May 1943, when Veitch left New Zealand to Dec 1944. Lieut Veitch served in the Pacific during World War Two with the New Zealand Army Education Welfare Service. At various times he was attached to the Field Maintenance Centre and 4th General Hospital.
